Tantalum forms an extremely
stable, protective oxide film making it one of the most
corrosion resistant metals known.Below 300°f
it is inert to all concentrations of hydrochloric,
nitric, sulfuric and phosphoric acid (up to 85%)
Tantalum is not resistant to
concentrated alkaline solutions at ambient temperatures
or bromine in combination of primary alcohols. Any
evolution of hydrogen near tantalum will result in
absorption and imbrittlement of the metal.
NICKEL
ALLOYS
Apex can handle all of your
Nickel alloy requirements including, all
Hasteloy grades, Inconel, Monel, and many others.

Zirconium’s extremely adherent, stable oxide film gives
it the characteristic of excellent chemical resistance
to many aggressive chemical reagents. It has good high
temperature strength with a tensile strength of about
16,000 psi at 800°
f. It exhibits good corrosion resistance to alkalies
and acids, including hydriodic and hydrobromic, except
for hydrofluoric acid, and hot concentrated hydrochloric
and sulfuric acids. It resists nitric acid in
concentrations to 95% and temperatures to 400°
f. Zirconium fights attack by most alkalis, organic
compounds and organic acids. It has excellent
resistance to seawater and brackish water.
Zirconium’s corrosion resistance is affected by
impurities such as nitrogen, aluminum, iron and carbon.
Cupric and ferric chlorides cause pitting. It is also
prone to hydrogen imbrittlement

Titanium is one of the most
resistant materials to the effects of salt water
corrosion and is virtually immune to atmospheric corrossion. Titanium can withstand the corrosive effects
of metallic salts, chlorides, hydroxides, nitric and
chromic acids. Titanium has been proven effective in a
number of industries including, chemical, petrochemical
and marine industries.
STAINLESS STEELS
APEX can handle of your
Stainless steel applications including 316, 316L,
304, 904L, Duplex 2205, LDX and
many other grades.
Depending upon your application.
